On Sunday, February 11, the NCC Fire Service Leadership Committee met with the Presidents and Chiefs of the county’s 21 fire companies. The purpose of the meeting was to update the presidents and chiefs on the status of several issues, including the request for funding in New Castle County’s FY25 budget, increasing our efforts to provide information to the public, and of course, discussing challenges faced today by the 21 fire companies that provide fire, rescue, and EMS service to 508,000 of the county’s 581,000 residents.
