NCC Fire Service Installation Banquet

On December 14, 2023, the New Castle County Firefighters and Chiefs Associations held their Annual Installation Banquet hosted by the Claymont Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary.
Master of Ceremonies was Claymont Fire Company President and DVFA 1st Vice President Tom DiCristofaro.
County Association President Daryl Haines and Chiefs Association Ken Phibbs presented their Year End Reports.
President Haines presented his Presidents Award to Tom DiCristofaro. The Chiefs Association presented the Kenneth R. Greenfield Memorial Dispatcher of the Year to Fire Medical Communications Specialist II Nick Purse. County Association President Daryl Haines presented the Edith "Bunny" Wilson Memorial Public Safety Operator of the Year to Shane Burns.
The Louis J. Amabili Memorial Firefighter of the Year was presented to Jerry Daniels from the Newark Fire Department.
Rich Rodriquez advised that the Harold "Sonny" Wilkins Award will be presented to a member of the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown at their next company meeting.
Tom DiCristofaro installed the Officers of the County and Chiefs Association.
The transfer of the gavels was presented by Past President Daryl Haines to President Eric Haley and by Past President Ken Phibbs to President Kevin Cowperthwait. Past Presidents Haines and Phibbs were presented their Past President Pins along with a gift of appreciation.
President Haley adjourned the meeting.
The dates for the next Chiefs Meeting is January 4th at Station 23, Newport and the County Association is on January 11th at Station 8, Newark hosted by Station 12, Christiana.
