NCCVFA 1000th Meeting Combined Meeting w/ NCCFCA & NCCAA - Minquas Fire Co. No. 1

The 1000th meeting of the NCCVFA was a combined meeting with the NCCFCA and the NCCAA. It was held on May 2, 2013 in the Minquas Fire Company No. 1 multi-purpose room. Dinner was served by the Minquas Ladies Auxiliary and included baked chicken breast, meat balls, mac 'n cheese and green beans. The pledge of alliegence was lead by Past President Joseph Hojnicki of the Minquadale Fire Company and the invocation by Past President Jasper Lakey of Delaware City. President Curtis Clifton welcomed the group to Minquas and wished the assembly and Presidents Rudd and Carrier a prosperous evening. After dinner, the ladies were given a standing vote of thanks for the great meal. Then the deceased members were acknowledged with a prayer by Reverend Wilms. During the course of the meeting Secretary Ferrante and Treasurer Smith handed out comerative coins for the 1000th meeting that were compliments of President Dan Carrier. Councilman William Bell gave a resolution from County Council to President Carrier and delivered a short report on the County Budget. Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode gave his perspective on the budgetary item involving the City. A lively discussion followed. Adjournment followed the benediction by Rev. Wilms.
