New Castle County Fire Service Awards and Recognition Program

As of this date, there has been no submissions for awards for incidents that occurred during 2019. The awards should be submitted no later then January 15 for the preceding year, and all submissions should be sent to the New Castle County Fire Chief's Association Secretary. I apologize to everyone for not sending out reminders towards the end of 2019. 
 
I understand that there several incidents that some of you wish to nominate for awards. We are extending the closing date for nominations until February 15, 2020. The Ceremony date, time and location will be announced shortly. Any Fire, Rescue, or EMS agency that operates within NCC is eligible for these awards. Attached you will find the full Awards program. 
 
I would like to bring special attention to the following awards, as we have never had any nominees for these 3 awards: 
 
 Firefighter of the Year:        Awarded to the non-officer firefighter that provided outstanding service and dedication in providing Fire/Rescue/EMS services to the residents within New Castle County.
 
Fire Officer of the Year:      Awarded to the officer (Lieutenant thru Chief) that provided outstanding service and dedication in providing Fire/Rescue/EMS services to the residents within New Castle County.
 
EMS Professional of the Year:        For Contributions by an individual to the community as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic (EMT-P). For dedication, responsibility, professional behavior, ingenuity, special skill or insight in the EMS environment.
