The New Castle County Fire Service mourns the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Tim McClanahan of the Lewes Fire Department.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Lewes Fire Department, Delaware State Police Aviation Unit, Delaware Air Rescue Team and the McClanahan Family.

The following are the Viewing and Funeral Arrangements:

Saturday, July 16, 2016, Viewing, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Parsell's Funeral Home, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware. No apparatus are requested for this viewing at the Parsell Funeral Home.
 
Sunday, July 17, 2016, Memorial Service and Viewing. Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware. Viewing will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Service will start at 3:00 pm.
 
This will be a full firefighter's service, Class A uniforms are requested.
 
Due to the limited space and projected attendance only one fire apparatus is requested per Fire Company attending. There will be no grave side service.
 
There will be a Fire Department Processional from the Cape Henlopen High School to Lewes Fire Station 1.
 
All Fire Companies bringing fire apparatus, on Sunday, to Firefighter McClanahan's Service are requested to be at Cape Henlopen High School by 1400 hours.  Use the Savannah Road entrance.  The street name is Viking Way.
 
No civilian cars, except for the family, will be in the processional.  The last alarm portion of the service will be conducted at Lewes Fire Station 1.  At the conclusion of the last alarm, the service will be completed.
 
Following the service, all are invited for fellowship and refreshments, at the Lewes Fire Station 2, 32198 Janice Road, Nassau, Lewes, Delaware.
